Architectural vs. Structural Columns
Document ID: REV07001  |  Author: Christopher Fernandez
Overview

Structural columns share the same properties architectural columns; however, structural columns have additional properties defined by their configuration and industry standards.

Use structural columns to model real structural conditions in the building.

Beams snap to structural columns; they do not snap to architectural columns. Architectural columns become pilasters when attached to a wall.
