| Overview |
By default, many users find lineweights in Revit Building to be too light out of the box. Especially at
1/8" = 1'-0" scale. By adding .01 to each line weight, this will get closer to what the average user is used to: |

- Select Settings -> Line Weights
- Select Model Line Weights tab of Dialog Box
- Change Model Line Weights
- Change Annotation Line Weights

| This opens the dialog box that controls all line weights in Revit. |

| Step 2 - Select Model Line Weights tab of Dialog Box |
| There are three different categories of line weights. Model, Perspective, and Annotation. For model lines, you can specify line weight for modeling components, such as doors, windows, and walls, in orthographic views. For perspective lines, you can specify line weights for modeling components in perspective views. For annotation lines, you can control the line weight of annotation objects, such as section lines and dimension lines. The weights of annotation symbols are not dependent on the scale of the design. |

| Step 3 - Change Model Line Weights |
| Change Model Line Weights for 2 through 7 at least to be .01 higher than its default value. |
