In this course, you will learn:
- that how you present yourself has a tremendous affect on your life and work
- how to prepare for presentations (speeches, meetings, one-on-one) by applying the same principles that an actor uses
- the skills needed to connect with your audience (or the person sitting across from you) through your physical awareness, energy, and status
- how various presentation elements (storytelling, metaphor, rhetoric, and technical elements such as audio visuals) can affect your ability to influence and persuade others
After taking this course, you will be able to:
- recognize that how you present yourself to audiences and to individuals is vital to your life and work
- describe the steps involved in creating a great presentation or preparing for a one-on-one encounter
- identify and use your physical elements (body, face, voice, movement, energy, and status) to connect with an audience and individuals
- prepare the technical side of a presentation or encounter using a script, rhetoric, props, audio-visuals, and rehearsal
