6:50 - 7:10 How 'Assemblies' are used on architectural drawings for precast shapes and other architectural elements. – Chris Harrison, BCWH Architects
On our last two projects, we have used the assembly tools for identifying, and detailing repetitive components on the building(s). The assembly tool has been used for precast shapes, columns and masonry openings. On the precast shapes we created elevations, sections, and axons for each shape; we were also able to tag the shapes on the other drawings. The same set-up applied to the columns and masonry openings. This works really well when the family component gets updated because all the related views and details get updated.
