CADD takes award-winning training Online

Kelli MarakovitsJuly 13th, 2020

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, education has changed dramatically worldwide. To accommodate these changes, CADD has transitioned all of our public and group training offered mid-March through August, from in-person classroom training to an all-virtual training environment to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff.

CADD was well prepared to pivot and take our educational courses online, as our instructors are experienced at delivering virtual classes and have been delivering virtual training for many years. Our virtual courses replicate the classroom experience and offer unique and interactive ways of delivering content with as much interaction as possible.

Behind the Scenes of our Virtual Training:

  • To make sure our students have a positive virtual experience, we conduct several GoToTraining (GTT) demos to allow students to gain a better understanding of our virtual learning environment. We also schedule many 5-10 minute test runs to test the student's connection prior to the start of training to confirm that students do not have any issues with joining GTT.
  • Learning and teaching is something that our Instructors will never stop doing. The team receives extra internal training before they first teach online to help them prepare for their class, and ensure they are familiar with both the Instructor’s view, as well as the student’s view of GTT software. Many of our Instructors observe each other’s online training and provide feedback so that we can continuously improve our methods and style.
