We are excited to announce the launch of our BIM tools at www.biminteroperabilitytools.com! This site is the result of a partnership between CADD Microsystems and Autodesk, and the desire to provide a collection of utilities to make your Revit models even more powerful and data rich than before.
The site houses four utilities designed to make your life a little easier:
The Autodesk Model Checker for Revit is an add-in that will review your models for BIM standards compliance. It can quickly and automatically review any number of overall model checks, as well as individual element checks, which can get very granular and specific, depending on your needs.
The Autodesk Model Check Configurator for Revit is a stand-alone application that works hand in hand with the Model Checker. With it, you can generate your own checks from scratch, or start from the dozens of pre-generated sample checks.
Autodesk COBie Extension for Revit is another Revit add-in that is designed to make the collection and creation of COBie data easier and more intuitive for the Revit user. An easy to follow interface helps the Revit modeler collect and organize COBie information that is then kept in the Revit model itself. Then, the COBie Extension can be used to generate a COBie spreadsheet directly from that data.
Finally, the Autodesk Classification Manager for Revit add-in makes adding classification information to Revit elements straightforward and easy. Included with the utility is a database that includes several of the major classification systems that crosslink to each other, and an update for the utility is coming soon that will add even more systems to the tool.
All of these tools are available now from www.biminteroperabilitytools.com, and the best part is they are free! Just go the site and download them!
In addition to the installers, you will find help files, quick start guides and other resources that will help your understanding and use of the tools, as well as a link to contact our helpdesk for these utilities.
We are really excited to be launching these useful tools, and hope that they save you time! Download them today and let us know what you think.
