Parametric design is at the core of CIM (Civil Information Model) workflows supported by software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Inventor, InfraWorks Revit and more. To continue the support of this methodology in civil engineering technologies Autodesk has continued their development and support for parametric design workflows for drainage, bridges, and tunnels. InfraWorks 2026 introduces two new bridge design features to allows bridge designers to perform more detailed structure design in the conceptual design environment.
Bridge Girder Design
This new feature allows users to specify new parameters and designs specific to bridge girders. Users can choose the girder start and end style, skew, offset and more - allowing for more precision or design options.
Bridge Vertical Pier Placement
This new design tool provides new grips to the vertical pier design providing designers with options to dial in the location of bridge piers within the 3D conceptual model.
