Twelve Days of CADD Care (Day One): Revit Tips

It’s the holiday season, which means we're back with our Twelve Days of CADD Care blog series! Each year, our team thinks long and hard about what would be the perfect gift for our followers. And with that in mind, we bring you another round of helpful tips, tricks, and tidbits to make your life easier. So without further ado:

On the first day of CADD Care, my CADD team gave to me… an easy way to place walls from an AutoCAD drawing link!

Often, a renovation project in Revit starts with adding existing conditions from a linked AutoCAD drawing file. Did you know that when adding Revit Walls over top of the walls in the linked drawing file, if you make sure you are using the “Wall Centerline” Location Line, your Revit walls will magically detect the center of your AutoCAD walls for easy placement:
