What you need to know about the Autodesk Premium Plan

Michael ChappelFebruary 22nd, 2021

Introduction

If you are part of an organization that has more than 50 Users, the task of managing your Autodesk users is certainly more involved than a smaller firm. Thankfully, Autodesk has introduced a new Premium Subscription in order to help make this process a lot easier! Whether you've been a long-time subscription user, or whether you just completed a transition from network licenses over to the new named user platform, this plan has a number of key benefits to differentiate it from your typical Autodesk Subscription. Let's take a look at what this new plan has to offer:

SSO (Single Sign On)

Perhaps one of the single most useful aspects of the Premium Subscription is the ability to configure SSO for increased security and ease of use. This is especially handy if you are continually adding and removing users or if you already have single sign on configured and you just want to have the increased security and ease of use that comes with SSO. Plus getting it set up is easy with Autodesk's SSO team onboarding meetings to help walk you through the process and help make sure everything is working correctly.

24/7 Live Support

Obviously, if you are a CADD Microsystems customer you already have access to our top-notch CADD Care support team, but what if you need help after hours or over the weekend? Fortunately, Autodesk's support team has opened up a 24/7 support team for Premium Subscribers. With your new Premium Plan you''ll have access to support whenever you need it!

Advanced Usage Reporting

One of the other advanced features is access to better reporting information inside of your Autodesk Management Portal. Premium subscribers get more in-depth reporting tools that allow them to dive into how each user is utilizing their Autodesk Products. Take a look below to see some of the differences!

Standard and Premium:

These features are available in Standard and Premium Subscriptions

In both the standard and premium dashboards, you'll find the ability to review usage by product. You can get an idea of which products out of collections your team uses most, and how much your team is utilizing the software as a whole.

Premium Only:

This view is ONLY available to Premium Subscribers!

However, Premium takes this one step further and lets you get detailed stats from each user to determine what products they are using, how often they are using them and other useful metrics. Additionally, all of this data can be exported to a handy CSV to plug into whatever kind of reporting tools you can imagine!
